We asked a few of them. Most said yes.
“We moved forty services over in a weekend and p95 latency dropped by half. The CLI occasionally prints a cat. We've made peace with it.”
“Their support engineer fixed our DNS at 3am, then stayed on the call for another twenty minutes without saying anything. Strangely reassuring.”
“Best hosting I've used in ten years. I still don't fully understand the nap window, but I've stopped deploying at 2pm and my life is genuinely better.”
We get asked this surprisingly often. We are registered, we have servers, and the servers have names. Make of that what you will.
Between 14:00 and 16:00 JST, new deploys are queued instead of executed. Everything already running keeps running. The infrastructure team rests. Incident rates have dropped 30% since we introduced it, and we no longer question it.
It hasn't happened yet. There is a runbook. It is one page long and mostly a drawing.

Setup takes about 40 seconds. Slightly longer if it's sleeping on the keyboard.
